YG shares update on upcoming boy group and girl group debuts
YG Entertainment says its planned five-member boy group and four-member girl group will record demo tracks by the end of 2026, with debut schedules to follow once title songs are selected.

YG Entertainment has provided a new update on the two idol groups it is preparing to launch: a five-member boy group and a four-member girl group.
In a statement released on 14 October KST, founder Yang Hyun Suk said both teams are due to record several demos before the end of 2026.
The agency will confirm more concrete debut plans after deciding on the groups’ title tracks. No debut date, final group names or member details have been announced yet.
The girl group has previously been introduced under the working title NEXT MONSTER, while the boy group was initially expected to debut in September 2026.
YG describes the new acts as part of its future roster alongside TREASURE and BABYMONSTER.
For European K-pop fans, the announcement means there is still time to wait before official debut releases, albums or live schedules are revealed. YG says it plans to share another update towards the end of the year.
