The Recording Academy, the organisation behind the Grammy Awards, has invited TWICE, Stray Kids and JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin Young to become voting members.

The invitations are part of a wider 2026 intake of over 4,000 music professionals across different genres and fields, recognising their contributions to the global music industry.

In total, 18 JYP Entertainment artists were included: all nine members of TWICE, the eight members of Stray Kids, and Park Jin Young himself. As voting members, they will be able to take part in selecting future Grammy winners.

In addition, JYP Entertainment CEO Jeong Wook and CSO Shin Hyun Kook have been invited as professional members, a category for executives and industry specialists supporting artists.

Founded in 1957, the Recording Academy oversees the Grammy Awards, one of the most influential music honours worldwide, with voting rights reserved for its members.

The news also comes ahead of a notable change for fans: the Grammys recently announced a new Best Asian Pop Music Performance category, set to debut in 2027.

For European K-pop fans, this marks another step in the genre’s growing influence on major Western institutions, with top acts like TWICE and Stray Kids gaining a stronger voice in global music recognition.
