NCT 127 Celebrate 10 Years With ‘BLINGY’ Comeback

NCT 127 held a press conference on 24 August to present their seventh studio album, ‘BLINGY’, released as part of the group’s 10th debut anniversary celebrations.

Taeyong said the album looks back to NCT 127’s roots through Seoul-inspired imagery and the group’s signature NEO identity. He added that the members worked hard to make the release feel complete while two members are currently away.

According to Jaehyun, the title track ‘Blingy’ follows a search for something special, only to find that the real “bling” is already within. The members highlighted its particularly challenging choreography, which Taeyong helped create, and its rapid-cut music video.

The album also includes the pre-release song ‘Piñata’, described by Yuta as a powerful track, and ‘127 Million Miles’, which features recordings from Doyoung and Jungwoo made before their enlistments. The members named ‘Legacy’, ‘Day After Day’ and ‘Getaway’ among their favourite B-sides.

Looking back on 10 years, NCT 127 spoke about overcoming changes and relying on one another. Taeyong said the group’s contract renewals were a meaningful moment, while Yuta said the members had built a solid path to reach this new chapter.

The group also previewed its upcoming ‘NEO CITY – THE REDLINE’ tour. Johnny said NCT 127 want to uphold their reputation for strong live performances, while Haechan described the current five-member concert line-up as a limited-edition experience for fans.
