ILLIT and LE SSERAFIM have both achieved new milestones in Japan, receiving Platinum certifications for streaming from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

The RIAJ awards Platinum status to songs that exceed 100 million streams under its streaming certification system, introduced in 2020 alongside existing physical and download awards.

ILLIT earned the certification with their 2025 Japanese digital single “Almond Chocolate”, marking a strong performance in one of the world’s largest music markets.

LE SSERAFIM reached the same milestone with their 2024 Korean track “CRAZY”, highlighting the continued cross-border popularity of K-pop releases in Japan.

These achievements reflect the growing streaming power of both groups and their ability to connect with listeners beyond Korea, including strong engagement in Japan.

For European fans, the news underlines how globally competitive both acts have become, as streaming success in Japan often signals wider international traction.
