DAY6’s Young K sets new first-week sales record with ‘YOUNGEST’

DAY6 member Young K is seeing strong momentum with his latest solo release. His second full-length album ‘YOUNGEST’, released on July 27, has set a new personal best in first-week sales.

According to Hanteo Chart, the album reached 164,443 copies sold in its first week (July 27 to August 2), marking a significant jump compared to his previous record.

Notably, ‘YOUNGEST’ had already surpassed his earlier first-week total on its very first day, selling over 50,000 copies and quickly establishing strong demand among fans.

His previous solo album, ‘Letters with notes’ (2023), recorded 40,189 copies in its first week, meaning the new release has more than quadrupled that figure.

This milestone highlights Young K’s growing impact as a solo artist, alongside his activities with DAY6. The steady rise in sales reflects both increased visibility and a loyal global fanbase.

For European fans, the numbers underline the expanding reach of DAY6 and its members, with physical album demand continuing to grow across international markets.

With ‘YOUNGEST’, Young K adds a new career high to his record, reinforcing his position as one of the standout soloists from the band scene in K-pop.
