DAY6’s Young K doubles his first-week sales record in just two days with “YOUNGEST”

DAY6’s Young K is seeing impressive early results with his latest solo release. The singer-songwriter returned on July 27 with his second full-length album “YOUNGEST”, led by the title track “Shut The Door.”

According to Hanteo Chart data, the album sold over 52,000 copies on its first day alone, already beating the total first-week sales of his previous album “Letters with notes” from 2023.

By the end of July 28 (KST), cumulative sales had climbed to more than 106,000 copies. This means Young K has more than doubled his personal first-week record in just two days.

The strong performance highlights growing global interest in his solo work, including from European fans who continue to support DAY6’s music both as a band and through individual projects.

With several days still left in the tracking period, expectations are rising for an even higher final first-week total.

“YOUNGEST” marks Young K’s long-awaited return as a solo artist, building on his reputation for heartfelt songwriting and distinctive vocals.
