BTS’s “Butter” MV surpasses 1.1 billion YouTube views

BTS have reached another major YouTube milestone, as their hit single “Butter” surpasses 1.1 billion views on the platform.

The music video crossed the mark on 27 July at around 2 a.m. KST, becoming the group’s seventh video to achieve this figure.

Other BTS videos that have already exceeded 1.1 billion views include “DNA,” “Boy With Luv,” “Dynamite,” “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix),” “IDOL,” and “Fake Love.”

Originally released on 21 May 2021, “Butter” reached the milestone in just over five years, confirming its long-term streaming power.

The track, performed entirely in English, played a key role in expanding BTS’s global reach, including across Europe, where it remains a fan favourite at events and parties.

This latest achievement reinforces BTS’s consistent presence among the most-watched K-pop acts worldwide and highlights the enduring appeal of their biggest hits.
